Walking wounded is right.

 else does creativity ever… the pit of your stomach most days? Go ahead, admit it. It’s just you you’re lying to, not even me. After you read the headlines, think about your future, what have you. That’s called moral injury. We’re going to discuss it more this week. We are the walking wounded, my friends, injured on a deep, fundamental, existential level. It hurts just to be alive — it always has — but it hurts doubly so when the world is going this wrong, this fast, in such basic ways. I hurt. That’s why I write. Where else does creativity ever come from? Where else is it going to go…
