Thanks for your practical approach to this. My husband feels like this all the time, I think, whereas I'm keen to try new things and have something to look forward to. It does mean we have what I call "life enjoyment" conflicts. I do have days where I wonder what the point of it all is, but then I think it's up to me to find a point and enrich my life - writing, books, films are my starting point. Having said all that, I suspect I, too, might get to that place of giving up one day.
