Physical book sales are definitely up again. Lots of people are returning to them. I predicted years ago that ebooks would not take off with kids and teens (and picture book apps died quite quickly) because they are on screens all day at school. And the last thing they want to do when reading for fun or leisure is read on yet another screen. So far, that's been true. All of my children's and YA books have far, far more print sales than ebook sales.
