People vote for politicians that they believe "think like them", without realising that what and how they think has already been programmed into them by the media (Murdoch and Fox are the worst) and an army of marketers.

And I have no idea how you change that. As Umair says, the British were brainwashed into believing everything was the fault of the Europeans, and now the rest of Europe are laughing at them in disbelief.
