And it's almost the same in other countries like the UK, Australia and NZ. People are "tired of hearing about covid" while the rest of us are silently seething about how many are not bothering to social distance or wear masks. I think the big difference with the US is that your healthcare system only works for people with money or insurance, and even basic insurance isn't cutting it. I wish there was an easy answer, but I agree with you that the govt has to put the war money into vaccine research and find a way to stop Covid.

But I can't see it happening because there are too many people in power with a lot of money who think the poor deserve to die.
