An elderly friend has been scammed twice. The second time the scammer kept her on the phone for over TWO hours but then she got tired and forgetful and cut him off. Luckily. And didn't answer when he called back because then she realised in time it was a scam, and called her daughter who froze everything for her. (No, when I asked her she couldn't remember what the guy was saying to her for two hours!) I'm glad I can now freeze my cards via the app on my phone if I'm worried, so I don't have to call up and wait on hold forever.
